About
One developer, accountable for the whole thing
DankoDev is a solo software practice in the Finger Lakes region of New York, operated by Daniel Mathews. I build custom web applications, mobile apps, and business websites for companies that need software they can depend on.
Before this I worked in financial services, including roles at Goldman Sachs and BNY Mellon. That work ran on complex operations, data-driven decisions, and delivery under real consequence — and it is where the rigor in how I build comes from.
I work best with businesses that have a clear problem and want one person to own the solution end to end: architecture and design through deployment and the support that follows.

Approach
How I work
Ship early, iterate often
I deliver working software fast, then refine it against real feedback instead of assumptions. You see the thing running long before it is finished.
Say where it stands
You always know what is done, what is next, and what is blocked. No jargon, no surprises, no black boxes between you and the work.
Build it to last
Clean architecture, tested code, and documentation written so that handing the project to someone else — including a future you — is uneventful.
